The disk that rotates every second is designed to resemble the tsuba of a Nichirin sword, and the hands of the watch are designed to resemble the sword and its sheath. Chuntaro is placed on the index at the 12 o'clock position as an accent.
Kanazawa foil This beautiful foil is just 0.1m (1/10,000th of a millimeter) thick and is produced in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, the number one gold leaf producing region in Japan. It is painstakingly crafted by skilled craftsmen.
